Stunning large cottonwood bowl with incredible figure. The rim is textured with thousands of tiny burned dimples and finished with Osmo oil stain. This bowl has it all: bark inclusions, chatoyance, knots and beautiful coloring. Perfect for use as a display piece! (not recommended for food use due to the cracks inside the bowl that can trap food) The bowl is finished with food-safe wax though please note the rim of the bowl was finished with a non-food-safe finish. Approx. 10" diameter x 6.5" high. The inside of the bowl measures 5.25" deep.
The sapwood of cottonwood is white and may contain brown streaks, while the heartwood may be pale-to-light brown. Fun fact: Cottonwood smells like a barn when it is being turned :-)
